Flooring Installation · Greater Orlando

Flooring installers for Greater Orlando homes

Hardwood, luxury vinyl plank and laminate, installed over a properly prepared subfloor and finished with clean baseboards.

The short answer

What does a flooring installation with MS Floors & Cleaning cover?

We install hardwood (solid and engineered), luxury vinyl plank and laminate across Greater Orlando. The scope can include pulling up old carpet and tack strips, leveling the subfloor or concrete slab, the installation itself, transitions and new baseboards, and a cleaning afterward from our own cleaning team.

Most homes around Orlando sit on a concrete slab, and that slab decides a lot: which products make sense, whether a moisture barrier is needed, and how much leveling has to happen before the first plank goes down. A floor that looks great on day one and starts to separate or click underfoot a few months later usually comes down to skipped prep.

That is why the flooring side of the company, led by Marcos De Souza, treats prep as part of the job and not an extra. Old carpet, tack strips and staples come out, high spots are ground down, low spots are filled with self-leveling compound, and only then does the new floor go in. Baseboards are fitted at the end so the edges look finished.

And because the same company also runs a cleaning team, the job does not have to end with dust on every surface. You can book a cleaning right after the install and move back into a home that is ready to live in.

Flooring Installation: common questions

Luxury vinyl plank and laminate are common choices on slabs because they handle humidity well and float over the concrete. Engineered hardwood can also work on a slab with the right moisture barrier and installation method. Solid hardwood is usually a better fit over a wood subfloor. We go over the options for your home during the estimate.
Yes. Carpet, pad, tack strips and many older floors can be removed as part of the job. Removal is listed in the estimate so you can see it.
When the slab or subfloor is not flat enough for the new floor, we grind high spots and use self-leveling compound on low spots before installing. It is one of the most important parts of a floor that lasts.
Yes. Baseboard installation is one of our services, either together with a new floor or on its own.
Yes. MS Floors & Cleaning also has a cleaning team, so you can book a post-construction style cleaning after your new floor goes in.
